you don't have to use them though. spacers are ~$200 landed for two pairs or so right? so you could always purchase 5mm/10mm if needed and sell the 15s to recover some costs
Or put the 255s on, put the spacers on and roll guards. |

Spacers aren't really road legal (even the hubcentric ones) and you also need to buy matching increased length wheel bolts. I went down this path with my E30 track car and the 15mm H&R hubcentric spacers and matching high tensile bolts I bought cost well over $600 for the set. That said, when I look at my recently lowered 135 I think it would look just that much better with 5mm spacers added I don't think I could fit spacers larger than 5mm with the 10mm wider tyres I want to fit.
I won't be using spacers on this car regardless...

Hmmm... found nitto nt555 tyres for $169 each but only in 245/40/18. Think the profile will be ok?
