I'm loving them man! They really compliment the car's stiff chassis. Going over bumps now, it's a solid deal, no more slight "aftershocks" for lack of a better word! With the wide range of settings, it's really flexable. I have it set at 1/2 turn from stock and it rides great! Slightly stiffer over uneven road surfaces and expansion joints. but when I turn, the car is even more planted than before. Very flat! I can only imagine what my car would feel like if I completed the package with a rear sway bar! I recommend a shock upgrade to those not even considering lowering the car, it's that good!

i'm thinking of HR sports or Koni Pro kit for my stock 330xi... yes i know ive said this a while ago, it still applies!

I'm wondering though, with 18" wheels will i have rubbing issues if i went with either without changing shocks? I notice that with the shock/spring setup right now, my car does roll a bit when i turn at corners. will the springs resolve some of this issue? or is that the job solely for the shocks, in which case it will rub. i really dont have any idea from lack of experience in any of this. any help would be appreciated.

You wont have rubbing issues with either H&R Sports or Eibach Pro-Kit Springs with your stock shocks or aftermarket shocks. Either one of these springs (or the race versions) will reduce body roll in turns. Shocks dont affect ride height, just damping. If I were you and I had an XI, I would buy springs and shocks together. For people with the sport package, those cars have higher performing shocks standard than say the XI. The sport package is lower than non-sports, with the XI being even higher. So people who have the sport package and just changed springs, the sport package shocks will last longer than say a non-sports and your XI with aftermarket springs installed.

ya but if i removed the shocks so that it would last longer, i would not be using the stock ones at all, which defeats the purpose? if u ask me. by using the stocks, i am shortening its lifespan, but by removing them and letting them collect dust, i will never even use them. who the heck would wanna buy stock shocks anyways.

You dont remove the stock shocks so that the stock ones will last longer, or so you can sell them, you remove them because they aren't suited to the lower, stiffer springs.

If you want to pay for install twice, go ahead, once to install your new springs only, and later another install charge to install new shocks to replace your BLOWN stock shocks. If you ask for help, don't shoot the messenger, know what I mean?

The sport suspension and standard suspension sit at the the same ride height. The only difference in ride height is between i and xi.

BTW, the drop looks very nice.

that's true for the e92, but not for the e90.

on the e90, sport packaged cars sit 0.6" lower.

The guys head is blocking the left pair of exhaust pipes. If you look at positioning of the visiable pipes on the right side, you would know that this is a ///M3 as Rob said.

LOL Alex, I've been soo done with this car, no more new mods. Next in the future is another BMW, not sure if I will mod the new car though...depends if it's another 3 or the 5 series. Even if I do mod, I'm sure it won't be as much as I've done to my current car.
