xenon headlight question again
I finally got my Xenon headlight to activate for high beam. But I noticed that now the xenon don't move up (sort of like initializing itself) whenever I turn the low beam on. I think I remember I saw that before.
Should they? |

Doesn't Adaptive mean the headlight can move to the side when you make turns to light up more of the road you're turning into?

In think I know what meruyailir talking about.
Adaptive Xenon will swing sideway when you turn the steeling wheel. It will also aim the headlight up and down when you driving Uphill or Downhill. When you start the car, the Adaptive Xenon will each move Down , then move UP again......like it flexing it muscle. But he said it doesn't do it anymore. meruyailir, I think they will move up and down when you start your car, not when you turn it on. It move up and down even your low-beam i off (But you just couldn't see it because it is off). Try this, Park the car indoor, leave the switch on "Auto" or low-beam "ON" postion, then start you car. See how it go.

They fixed one thing, and broke another. What's the downside of not having it move up and down initially? Improper vertical alignment?

Just made shure on mine There is a down and up movement when you tuen the switch one notch ( Angel eyes turn on ) You can hear it and see it against a white wall. But when you turn the Xenons on after that ( another turn of the switch ) they dont move So just check if you are maybe getting the first move

Thanks for checking. I'll do that when I get my car back. They're now trying to locate and get rid of the loud snapping noise on the dash/steering area.

And halogen doesn't do it when you turn on the light. Or does it? I didn't notice when I had the halogen before I had it replaced with Xenon.

As you move the switch 1 position from off, they go down and then up. You dont notice this if you are driving, only if the engine is off and you are facing something like a white wall. Then you hear them move and se the light going own then up.

You did this with the engine on right? Otherwise the Xenons won't light up anyway. I guess doesn't matter engine on or off, on the first switch, the xenon will move up and down?

Put in the key, this activates some functions, then press the start/stop button, this activates all functions inclusing radio ect ect. The Xenons will then work ( atleast on cars that have them from the factory)
