USAA couldn't give me a quote for the 1M yet but a 2012 M3 quote was $1100 a year for me. No tickets, No accidents over 35. Certainly could not be more than that. I'm paying more than that for my Toyota SUV.

I have USAA too, and the same driving situation. I called them, and I think I used a 335is as the example. I don't recall the exact quote, but it seemed reasonable. The main thing with USAA (and probably others) is the mileage per year driven. I plan on keeping my daily-driver Accord, so I told them I would only put 2-3000 miles a year on the 1M. This led to a pretty low rate.

Good thread. I was trying to get something onUSAA as well, but I guess I'll have to call in person to get an exact quote. I'm thinking maybe 700 miles on it a month give or take.

No problem. Liberty Mutual and 7 years of driving. I think the rate will go down though by the time I get the car insured because I will turn 25 in June and do not expect to get it back from europe until after my birthday.

Just heard from State Farm, the 1M finally showed up on their system, the quote we got was $350 for 6 months, pleasure use under 7500 miles a year, thats with multicar and home insurance discount. Not mentioning ages, but that is with many, many decades of driving experience and not too many tickets.

State Farm just came in at 1376.00 yr for me. Multi line disc (home owners only) and a defensive driving cert. Basically went up 65.00 yr over my MINI. I am OK with that.

Vehicle: 2011 BMW M1 $300k/$500k $500 Deductible Vehicle Miles per Year: 4000 $266 every 6 mos. That's actually $5 less than the recently dearly departed 2009 135i.

$500k/$1Mil $500 deductibles mileage: 6000/year. $600/6 months. 23 bunch of tickets, no speeds. 1 short suspension. Male. Insurance is highly dependent on zip code and your other policies though. From my house in LI to my apartment in Manhattan the price difference is literally twice the money! Also multi- car discount gives a big discount. & i have an umbrella policy with my insurer. |

I'm in California and have been extremely happy with Mercury. The rate is very reasonable but more importantly they covered me when I had a total write off for full replacement value with no issues.
