What can I expect from my first annual service visit?

I'm taking the case in some time in the next couple weeks for my first annual service. I've only got about 3400 miles on it.

Aside from an oil change, what should I expect them to do? I'd like to know in advance so I can make sure they get it done.

Thanks!

In addition to the oil change, they're gonna check a bunch of fluid levels and top them off if necessary, and, I believe, rotate your tires. Not sure what else they're going to check but there should be a listing of what they do at each service in your manual.

I have staggered set up. Never rotated.

Cabin micro filter. <--- WRONG

Courtesy wash also?

Why are you taking it in after only 3400 miles?

The OP said it was the annual service so I'm guessing with only 3,400 miles on it he drives very little. If he doesn't use the annual service he jeopardizes losing stuff he's supposed to get somewhere down the line. Somebody just posted about losing an oil change because they were late for their last service. He got 3 oil changes total instead of the 4 he's supposed to. I also drive very little here in Honolulu so I'll probably have only about that much mileage on my car when it's time to take it in for the first annual service as well.

BMW recommends against rotating tires. The one year service is essentially an oil change & scope.

I'd pass on that... Messing up the finish of your car isn't a courtesy.

True, definitely optional.

Also, cabin filter is every 2 years with brake fluid. I fixed that in my original post.

Tell them that your wipers are streaking. They will replace the inserts once per year.

Depends on the dealer. Mine has been doing courtesy hand washes with no swirls for over a decade.

Expect to be disappointed although being a first timer shouldn't be too bad and maybe they'll actually try- ones around me sure don't.

BMW Standard Scope is a standard diagnostics check of the vehicle. This checks for faults in the vehicle's components and computer systems

I want a software update. My 2012 135i was delivered with significant throttle and power lag, especially with the A/C on. I'm guessing it was built with the latest neutered version of the software.
