How can the 4dr M3 have the E92 body, when the E92 body is the coupe version of the E90. To make a 4dr version of the E92 would mean that there are 2 4dr 3 series models, which makes no sense. The E92 is 2dr, and the E90 4dr, and thats it as far as I see.

I think Oz is asking whether the E90 M3 will come with some of the cosmetic changes that have been made to the E92, i.e., headlight, grill, tailights. My guess is that there will be some minor changes in 2008, when the E90 M3 apparently will be released. The extent to which such changes will mirror the E92 is an interesting Q IMO. Regardless, the E90 M3 will be one awesome vehicle.

I heard that the E92 does not have even 1 body panel in common with the E90, so there would need to be a lot of changes to the E90 to get the E92 look. Plus, I think BMW is responding to the complaints that the former coupe looked too similar to the sedan, and therefore made the new coupe look very different. Therefore, making the E90 look more like the E92 in the future would be defeating the object of differentiating the coupe from the sedan. I could be very wrong though.

I think the e92 looks slicker and have smoother lines. The M3 in the spy shots isn't finalized yet I bet you it will sit lower than it is in those pictures.

I don't know why they keep comparing the rear end look with the Civic Si Coupe? I don't see much resemblence.
This is an awesome car. What a beauty to look forward to.

Looks like it'll need a new hood design.
