what do you think of this deal? (Canada)

hi guys i'm new here and in the market for a 135 right now. i was at the BMW dealership today in Toronto (Parkview) and i was looking at a 135 with the following options:

UC93-135i Coupe ($43000)
MET-Metaliac Colour ($800)
ZKW-Premium Package ($1800)
ZKX-Executive Package ($3700)
ZKU-Premium Sound Package ($1200)
ZKY-7 Speed Double Clutch Transmission ($1950)

the car's a demo with about 5000km's on it and so far i've got the dealer down to $4845o. $4000 discounted and he waived freight+pdi which is another $2095 so a total of $6095. what do you think about this deal? do you think they can do better? the dealer told me that their profit margin is 8%. i went on carcostcanada.com and it shows the wholesale price so it seems about right but i read somewhere on the internet that the dealer cost is not the factory invoice price so how do i find out what it actually is?

i'm a bit hesitant because of the colour it's space grey metallic and i really want the alpine white but if it's an amazing deal then i guess i should just suck it up and live with it. they don't have any other demo's right now so this is my only option. i was also looking at the option of building the car exactly the way i like it:

UC93-135i Coupe ($43000)
ZKW-Premium Package ($1800)
ZKX-Executive Package ($3700)
ZKU-Premium Sound Package ($1200)
ZKY-7 Speed Double Clutch Transmission ($1950)

total: $51650+$2095 freight and pdi=$53745

how much do you think the dealer could discount it?

also... what do you guys think about the premium sound package? what's the difference between the standard and the premium and is there a huge difference? is it worth $1200?

thanks in advance for any advice/suggestions.

Apparently there's a huge difference between the Premium Sound and the base audio (I actually have the Premium Sound and I don't think it's really that good...it's okay). You could maybe spend the $1200 on an aftermarket upgrade for best results.

take the deal

Hi there

If I were you I would take that deal!

I have a space grey and it is one of the nicest colors(imho). there is not much money left in that deal, and if you are intent on finding a new white one I would contact David Kim at Endras in Durham,he will give you the honest numbers on the profit in that car!

So are you saying that dealers don't have the right to make a profit? How do you think thay pay for the rent on the building? The Lights? The CPP Deductions for their staff?

Of course it's a good deal, take it and be glad that you did!

You are getting 4k off on an 53k used vehicle. Yes I think you could do better than that.
Dealer is not waiving freight and PDI, it just doesn't apply to used cars.
Also you should not really care about profit margins for new cars, this car isn't new.
I would try to knock down additional 1-2k at least.

is the car considered used once it has a certain amount of mileage on it?

btw... does anyone know if power folding mirrors are no longer available on 2011 models?

It's an ok deal but I'd wouldn't buy it simply because it's a demo with 5k kms on it. That's just me. If it's going to get beat everday, I wanna be the one to do it.

If you can find a dealer with stock on the lot already you can probably muster a new one for only a thousand more with some negotiating skills and a bit of luck.

The car is considered used because bunch of people have put around 5000km in it

I agree with Juu for that price you better of getting a new car of the lot. You will have to pay the freight+PDI but then it's a new car.

IMO get exactly what you want. JuuS got a point, the feeling that you are not the first one to ride it sucks. I regreat to this day that I didn't get the M-package for my car. Spend a bit more and be eternally happy with the options you want to have. Worth the wait and few more $$$.

yeah i really really want alpine white but my second choice would be space grey. it doesn't really bother me if it has 5000km's on it as it should be more negotiation leverage. it has all the options/packages i want except the power folding mirrors except apparently they no longer exsist.

Is the demo you're interested in a 2010 model year 135i or is it a 2011 model year vehicle?
Or do you know the production date?
