Question Obtaining Maintenance Records

Apologies if there are posts about this already; I wasn't able to find anything. I'm trying to figure out how I can obtain the full maintenance/service records for my new '09 128i. I just traded out of an '08 1-series with a laundry list of issues that were never repaired properly throughout the past year and nobody at any dealer I spoke to would give me any info at all regarding maintenance and service records.

Anyone have any advice into how I could go about obtaining vehicle history info? I understand that they dealer is trying to PII from the previous owner(s) but it took me 15 minutes to get just the last oil and brake fluid change for my new 1-series.

I just took my ownership and key into the dealership and they printed EVERYTHING up for me, no charge....(took less than 10 mins.)

I haven't tried it at a BMW dealer but my Acura dealer was able to print out all the service records no problem.

For Lexus I think if you know the VIN you can actually pull the records yourself online.

You can just bring them the key fob and they will do it at any decent BMW dealer.

Multiple sales people at multiple dealers have all refused. I'm about to email bomb every PNW service department until I find someone willing to help. This is frustrating...

Show up there, dont call. And dont talk to sales people, talk to service advisors. Find one at their desk and just go into their office.
