Q about shocks

Do aftermarket shocks actually improve ride quality when paired with springs vs aftermarket springs with oem shocks? I'm on H&R sports with stock shocks right now and some times it feels like Imo galloping on a horse.

I'm specifically looking at the Koni FSD vs the Koni Yellows.

In general yes. Proper aftermarket suspensions matches the spring characteristics to the coilover characteristics, so that they work in conjunction.

When you use lowering springs with OEM shocks, they are no longer the perfect pair of shock vs spring. Thats why often times people blow out their shocks when using lowering springs.

If your going to go with Koni's, you will need to consult a suspension expert to make sure you choose the right spring to match the suspension characteristics of that shock.

Depends on the aftermarket shocks but most are valved for an aftermarket spring so it will be a much better match- much less bounce.

Only if the aftermarket shocks are valved properly.

aftermarket springs with oem shocks is a no go in most cases. oem springs with aftermarket shocks such as the Koni will yield a good ride with better control.

H&R or Eibach with Koni is also a good combo.
