135 happiness!
Hey so I’m new here. Just wanted to tell you guy’s a little about me. Here’s the boring part of me and my car. I went from an ople astra (90hp) to a 135i coupe, got it back in December of 08. Oh boy I was the happiest person that day; I had the biggest grin on my face once they gave me the keys. So after driving around stock for 2 years I needed more horses (like almost every one else)! So like a year ago I ordered and installed the JB4, can’t complain right now.
So here is the new story now I ordered new parts since again I needed more power! Here’s a list of what you are seeing AR downpipes, evolution racewerks intercooler, CDV, BSH oil catch can and some white angle eyes. So for right now they are just lying around my house and waiting for the weather to get better to be installed. For right now it looks like its going to take a mouth cause the weather here in Germany sucks! I will post some more pictures of the installation if you would like. Once installed; I’ll write a review too. Hopefully I can install it soon because looking at it every day is making me go insane! Hope I’ll be happy power wise for a bit longer. What do you think I should order next? What I still need/want rims, short shifter, the p3 vent boost gauge, carbon fiber trim (maybe just foil), CF diffuser (trunk, hood) and suspension. This would be nice to http://www.prior-design.de/bmw_1series_pdm1-wb I’ll be happy over any input from anybody. |

That's great man! Post up some pics of your car! Might look into black kidney grills, LED interior Lights, a set of midpipes or an axleback exhaust as well! If you need more power than that get some water meth for it!

Welcome. Where in Germany do you live?
I would say your next mod should be a tune. With a tune you will be over 400 PS at the engine. Also maybe N55 mid pipes to delete your secondary cats(Kats). |

Dac, he said he has JB4 already. Are you suggesting he switch to like a Cobb Stg. 2+? Because I started to suggest that, but since he already had JB4 I didn't mention it.

With DPs and an FMIC, I'll bet OP's aiming towards a tune. Possibly COBB for the stage 2

Yes already have a tune. Is the cobb stg 2 better? Because when I ordered my new stuff from **********s he also suggested cobb. I already have black kidney to, they make a big difference in looks! LED interior lights? Do you have a like so I can get an idea?
And to where in Germany, near Nurnberg. Seh gerade das du auch in Bayern wohnst. Car pics |

Sehr schoen! Macht spass!
Well, different people will say their tunes are better than the others. There isn't enough data to say for sure if any tune is better in my opinion, there are just too many variables on the cars themselves. Personally, I prefer flash tunes, but that's my preference. **********s suggested Cobb because the fmic and downpipes are the prerequisites for running their stage 2 software + FMIC maps. |

Well I ask a hand full of mechanics and they all said that they would rather have a flash then a plug n play. But if you say their is no big difference (and that what I read)... I mean right now I'm happy with the jb4, maybe some time down the road I'll look at the cobb. What where your guys first mods? I think I'm going to look at some rims next. Anybody have the vmr? They look good and are cheap. And that what I am afraid of them being so cheap. Not that I by accident hit something and the fall in to 2 pieces or when I'm on the autobahn doing 180mph they wont explode in to millions of pieces. (yup did it once for a short time then I had to break because someone was in front of me.) I defiantly want black rims.

Shoot! Sorry I did not see he already had a tune. OP - yes, I love my flash tune. I think a flash is safer(for the engine) and maintains boost pressure more consistently. The problem with the "piggy tunes" is that they tend to over or under shoot their "target" boost level. I think that is what makes a flash feel way more smoother than a piggy. But I am not here to bash any tuner. FYI... I pasted my thread on my tune. Got my car tuned in Germany… http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=528152 |

With the downpipes and FMIC, you can go with a cobb stage 2+FMIC, it's supposed to make 49% more HP than stock...give or take. So that's an additional 147 HP which equals 447 at the crank, using the wheel horsepower guesstimater that comes out to 374 at the wheels...depending on auto or manual.
https://www.mk5cortinaestate.co.uk/calculator4.php Of course, the JB4 throws everything out of whack so I don't know what to say about that...take it off?
