theres a couple of hotels next to the meeting place. check for hotels in emeryville, im sure its cheaper then sf too.

PM me or post here any info, suggestions, etc...for this meet! One member recommeded Safeway for cheap throw-away grills. This meet is turing out to be pretty big, so cooking and all that will be more than I thought!

Michael, it would probally be alittle cheaper to stay in Walnut Creek/Pleasant Hill Area compared to SF, but it's about a 45 min drive to SF from here. If you stay in the city, it will be alot easier to have a nice night on the town and not have to worry about the drive back.

Long and I +2 significant others will be staying at the Residence Inn San Francisco Airport/Oyster Point Waterfront if other SoCal members want to book reservations ahead of time. $199/night gets you two bedrooms, 2 baths, sofa bed, kitchen, living room, and complimentary on-site parking.

You should try to bring all types of sodas. Bottle water is easier to keep cold, so get that. Get some real mountain spring water like arrowhead or something, not tap water put in a bottle!

As for nignt stuff, I think it's better to try and hang out in the city, fishermans wharf and hit up some clubs. That's what people who never been to this part want to see, coit tower, lumbard street, etc...
