Do TCK Coilovers come w/ thrust sheets?
Hello All, looking to purchase some TCK Singles for the 1'er. Having gone down this road with previous cars, I am dead set on using thrust sheets/thrust bearings/whatever you want to call them, for my application. Does anyone know if these are supplied with the off the shelf TCKline setup? I have called HPA and left a voicemail inquiring about this setup, but never heard back from them...
Also, for the E82/E90, etc. are people using these thrust sheets on the front, and rear springs, or just the front coilover assembly? On my previous car, which was also McStrut front, and Multilink rear, I don't recall using these for the rear springs, but I profess my ignorance to what works with these BMW chassis'. Thanks.

I just realized that this is in the wrong section. Admins/Mods, can this please be moved to the "Suspension" section?

No, you need the purchase them separately (They are only like $20).
I installed mine on just the lower front perch on the front coilover, and no pinging or spring binding. You can install it on the top perch as well but IMO that's just overkill. No need to install these in the rear since it is multi-link and the spring is never actually spinning |

I am looking for some of these thrust bearings for my Megan Racing coilovers (getting some coil binding noises every so often).
Where is the best place to get these bearings? I have found the following set but I'm not sure if they are the right size for my coilovers and how many sets I would need http://www.summitracing.com/int/part...-109/overview/ Any help would be greatly appreciated! *apologies for the semi thread hijack! |

Spring Rates: F: 62mm ID; 180mm length; 7 kg/mm R: 62mm ID; S-150mm length; 11 kg/mm Damper Specs: F: 120mm stroke; 240mm length; M2 valving code R: 170mm stroke; 270mm length; A11 valving code I'm assuming this means the spring diameter is 62mm. On the link provided I can see bearings 60mm, 65mm and 70mm. Does anyone know what size would be suitable for my suspension? Thanks in advance |

So, you can take 60mm and shave it to fit or get 65mm and deal with it. |
