That is actually true for all BMWs. Sorry, that is the stereotype. 7 series might avoid it though since they are usually driven either by old white guys.

Just watch out for the modded GTs. A couple grand in bolt ons and they will embarass the 1. Say what you will about a solid rear axle, it makes for a great drag car. And they still will undercut the 1 series by thousands. Magazine racing is one thing but I doubt anyone can consistently get sub 5 second 0-60s with a 1 or a 3. Unless you are a professional drag racer and in that case you should be in a Fox body mustang with 600hp.
