BMS CAN-Tool

I had been using a BMS CAN-Tool to auto clear an SES light from a catless DP on my 2012 135i and it did the job beautifully. Long story short I was in an accident in March and its not working anymore...updated the software on the can-tool, computer picks it up and says its working/updated successfully, but when its plugged into the OBD2 port the car wont pick it up...asked the dealer if they updated software or did anything software related and they said no, body shop didnt change anything either. The damn thing just wont work and BMS pretty much told me to "switch back to a cat"...not helpful....

Does anyone have a BMS CAN-Tool they're not using or would sell to me? Or does anyone have a suggestion/proven method to auto clear a SES light from a catless DP? I dont want to buy a JB4 and would like to have it small and keep it plugged in like the CAN-Tool, but open to options...

Car is N55 platform so anyone auto clearing on a N54, it probably wont work for my car

Burger MS stopped making them and I cant seem to find them for sale on any website...

You could get a JB4 and leave it on stock map if you don't want the tune and use the auto code clearing feature?

yeah ive thought about that, but id rather spend $150 bucks on a CAN tool vs. $400 something on the JB4 since im just using it for auto clear and not for the tune...may have to though if i cant find another one
