AW: 135i (M) coupe vs. 325d (M) coupe

Hi 1 addicts,

Well I finally managed to post on this forum. I've had my 135i for almost two weeks now and I have to say that it is amazing!!! But I guess you all know that :smile: Few days ago me and my friend with 325d coupe got together and took some photos. I only have few, but should still be better than nothing.

I'll try to take more photos during this weekend with interior as well and will also write a review :smile:

Really like the look of both cars! I am so jealous of the fact that european cars get clear headlights (clear corners), it makes the white and black cars look amazing.

What are your initial thoughts of the 135, and how does it compare to your buddy's car?

To sum up my initial thoughts of the 135i - The car is very, very good. I was just blown away by how responsive it is. Mind you that I haven't driven any other 135i before (I only drove 123d version and 335i). Just cruising in lets say third gear at around 40 km/h and touch the accelerator pedal - the car pulls almost like a jet. I'm still within break-in period so I'm not taking it over 4500 rpm and I can only imagine what kind of a monster the 135i is in a higher rev range. The steering is very sharp and brakes do their job perfectly. I was driving through two mountain passes on sunday and the drive was a blast. Going uphill in third gear at only around 1600 rpm and you don't even have to downshift to get decent acceleration.

As far as the 325d coupe goes I haven't driven that car in a long time, so it's a bit hard to do the comparison. But it is a different car and for different buyers. It is more of a luxury car whereas the 135i is more of a sports car.
