Is it possible to change '10 mirrors back to '09?

Just saw the new mirrors for the first time on a 2010 in the carpark. Don't like them at all. Totally out of proportion to the car and much sleeker on the 2009. My car was parked behind it so easy to compare.

I'll be sourcing some 2009 mirrors when I buy my next 1er.

I agree. Just in case everyone doesn't know - the pre-2010 mirror design was at one time only found on M cars.

Must just be the website needs updating. They are definitely being built with the dumbo ears.

Well I've had my 2010 for just over 3 weeks now and tbh the mirrors have grown on me. They really are very good for rear view and they suit the proportions of the car.

Given the choice I would have gone for the 2009 mirrors but now I have the later style I can live with them!

Awww I think they're cute, they look like little doggie ears! I don't mind that my on-order 135i will have them. Safety-first and stuff! heheh

FYI - Finally had my car delivered Friday and I like the new mirrors, I like the lines, etc.

the mirrors are now that big because of a new german law.
every new car rolling out the factory has to have bigger mirrors.
it`s a safety thing.

I had no idea that BMW had put huge mirrors on the car. They look huge when being so used to the sleek 08' mirrors...
