it is right for M3 with DCT.
M3 with MT would be back to 210 and then begins to catch up.[/QUOTE]

agreed....the M3's low torque really hurts at at low speeds...it catches up and pulls away in the higher gears....interesting vid....surprised how well the E36 M3 keeps up

For pete's sake, the 1M is indeed an M car. Can we give it a rest already.

I was today on the Nring with My 1M.

Movie will come. But for al the non believers.

I could follow a CSL which was prepared as a track day weapon with my bone stock 1M. I had to drive real hard but i could manage it. The 1M is unbelievable good.

Imagine some lightweight seats good exhaust. And some semi slicks and race suspension. This thing wil eat a heavier GTS for breakfast.

On the way from an to the ring we drive full throttle it was 272 km on the tacho in 5 th gear. Thing fly s to 270km has no problem to do it.

What an incredible car the 1M is. I never though it would be. I am real real happy with it.

I though ///M had lost it with all the heavy ///M trucks. But boy oh boy this 1M is a car what was needed from M to get me believe into M again.

Nice! I also love my 1M, the best car, i've ever driven, since today! I would love to have my first trackday with it!!!

I would also drive to the ring this morning, but then i made a trip to Spa-Francorchamps, 24h race, which was also nice!!

And hey, people on the street to the circuit took their cam, iphone etc, to take a pic of the 1M, so cool!!

And by the way, i also love the E92 M3!!!

Edit: forgot to mention, you can see some Advevo-drifting with the 1M in the first part of the video.
Hey Snipe, great job!

That's the A12 highway you guys are rolling, right?
Loving the vids and Advevo's incredible car control skills. Nice to see a pro getting genuinely excited about a road car.

No offense, but please drop the euro trash music from the video. I'd prefer the bimmer's engine sound anyway.

Very true indeed. Compared to an M3 it's almost a bargain.
In the Netherlands, a fully loaded 1M will set you back about 80 kEUR, a similar M3 will cost at least 120 kEUR.
That's a difference of 40.000 EUR ! (or 57.000 USD / 35.000 GBP).

I checked with some dealerships and a brand-new 1M is still cheaper than a 2 year old used M3

Thnx!

It might not be the best idea to write on the internet where we filmed this, but it wasn't the A12. However, it could be somewhere in the north where they have empty roads ;-)
I didn't edit the video's myself, but I think the music was only added to some parts where the engine sounds weren't good enough.

But actually, I just can't wait for the next video's. Advevo went to the Nürburgring with his 1M yesterday. I knew it, but unfortunately I couldn't make it.
I was there with him last year and at that day we made some nice vids. For example this one (and yes, the camera car is an M3 CSL):

Would be nice to see something like this with an 1M, wouldn't it?

No surprise here, weight and torque at work IMO.
I had an E46 M3 that I gave up on because I couldn't get the damn SMG to be smooth. I went to an E46 330ci Steptronic that was just flat IMO but atleast was drivable in the nasty Jersey City, NJ & NYC roads. Moved to more "civilized" part of country and got an E92 Steptronic (wish I had the DCT)... from my own expirience driving E92 M3 DCT long distance and racing the same car, I can tell you in virtually every driving situation you are normally going to encounter outside of a track, the results will be repeated. My tuned 335 just ate the competition package M3 for lunch in the race. The M3 is the better car in all regards except in the pure GO department. Boost baby, boost. I can't wait for next boosted M3, that's what I am getting next time with a DCT ofcourse.

Engine Sounds !!

The best part of the video is the sound. Wow. I test drove the e92 M3 and that V8 sounds "beefy" and just mean. But overall I say the winner for aural excitement goes to the M Coupe. Very racy engine sounds from that S54.

Question

I have a E92 M3 that im kindda bored of(i have a 2011 X5M and a 2012 Ferrari italia), is it worth selling my E92 for a 1M? im eyeing a Valencia Orange which arrives in April.....very tempting.

was considering an F10 M5 till i found out the price....a hefty $163,000

Fastest to 60 but that would change fast at higher speeds as other have noted. I was actually surprised with the e36, after a certain point the 1M stopped pulling away from it. As for the M Coupe that has to be one of the best BMW designs that car is gorgeous. Regardless all three are great cars.
