I did ask the estimator - it's a BMW center - about that carbon fiber rear diffuser they're replacing it with, she just giggled and moved on.
Can't wait to get the 1er back, I'm already having flash backs to back when I had a 1. Those were the good old days when i used to walk to school uphill both ways... damn youths nowadays with their iclouds.

Can't wait til you get it back. Don't make my mistake and ask to maybe hang onto the bumper. When I did, they literally just folded it up and handed it to me. Point being, when you see that our bumpers are just plastic, are easily folded in half, then in half again and handed to you, and the knowledge that the bumpers never quite match paint-wise perfectly since they're not metal, you then start to realize it's no big deal getting a new bumper. Sure, it still feels like someone just raped your kid or shot your puppy, but the drinking, drug use, and violence against the offenders I've found helps a little. That and knowing the carbon fiber diffuser costs more than getting a whole new bumper, it painted, and the diffuser.

Maybe you can talk Cavpilot2k into getting out of his lease a little early and buying it. It is a manual, just what he wants AND it's an "is" so it's got all the cool performance parts. He's only in Boston.

Did you end up going with the 1M mirrors or staying with stock? Glad to see you're finally getting those performance skirts, too, as you've been talking about them for awhile. Haven't seen those on any IS's.

Since all the colors on our car looked grey to me, I chose a nice grey that seemed healthy cause it contained minerals. I am afraid of space and mean aliens, so I shied away from space gray obviously.

Reminds me of BMW of San Francisco's cheezy awful photos. Ah, they're using a new and more realistic backdrop sadly. Used to be much worse:





And BMW of Bloomington in IL puts their cars in a grassy field for some reason for pics. Here was the only other mineral grey 135is in the country at the time of my order which is now for sale again a year and a half later:



Then there's always the sad sad BMW Northwest whose pictures are always taken in what looks like a padded room from far away and the cars look like they're being put in a timeout.





And here's a real glamour shot...was the guy dropping the camera?! Really shows off the proportions well.
