Holy slowness, Batman... what's up with the site?

Has anyone else noticed this? I click on a link and then switch over to ESPN to read about college basketball in another tab.

I noticed the same thing early yesterday and today. Someone is doing something on the server. It would be nice if they told us or announced scheduled shut-downs/slow-downs.

That doesnt make any sense, e90post runs on the same server as this one presumably. I still dont see the slowdown, what am I missing here?

I'm not sure what does not make sense

this forum was it's own site

now it was taken over and moved onto e90 post's server, we lost our mods, shared general forums, and it's been slow the last couple days

I just don't see how you can connect a merger of the site a month ago to slowness of the site today. I work with computers so I guess I have a different point of view This is already brewing into an argument, so I bow out now you win you are right you are the smartest person here!

I doubt you work with servers, your profile says "Accountants have fun 2!!!" you don't understand how merging two sites would make them slower? It's common sense, take 2 separate sites, combine them into 1, it got slower. Maybe they have been doing backups on the server for a couple days?

I'm sure the mods will hide this thread in the site related announcements and suggestions forum soon enough

Hey Fellas,

The site was indeed loading slow last night and parts of this morning. An unexpected maintenance was being done. I'm sure you'd much prefer it to be somewhat operational rather than being offline for a few hours.
