Good deal?
I bought a 2008 135i coupe in pristine shape today 29600 miles.
car has Premium, covenience, sport, and cold weather with xenons, hifi, IPOD, bluetooth, BMW assist, alpine White I paid 27160, but got 1750 more for my trade than I expected. Is this a reasonable deal? Anyone have thoughts on a car like this and buying an extended warranty? Looking at the dealer product for this from Fidelity called the platinum product. Thanks!! |

You didn't say whether you purchased the car through a BMW dealer? Extended warranties from other than BMW should be considered with great care. Private insurers can go broke or require pre approval. I assume Fidelity is a private insurer. Hopefully, you don't have engine mods that could cause you further grieve down the road. As for the deal, seems reasonable for four year old car. Oh yes, 2012 135s are being built now.Hope you have a good service record.

Thanks
I have all service records and it has not so much as a chip on it The car looks and smells new. It seems like a good price primarily because of the beat deal I got on my trade |

Not a great deal, but certainly not a bad deal.
It does largely depend on what you were trading though. if you got $1500 more on a car worth $10k, then that worked out well. But if you got $1500 more on a car worth $25000, then I hope you did some trade in number comparisons. When i traded in my 135i for example, I got anywhere from 20k for trade in for the eventual number I took which was 24.5k |

Are you happy with the car? Each deal is different, and the overall condition and reliability of the car are the most important considerations in your ownership experience.
