M-sport perforated steering wheel

So my new car should be arriving soon, and it has the M-sport perforated steering wheel installed. While I love that wheel, I've loved my M3-tri stitched wheel in my e90 more. So, I am thinking of replacing the perforated m-sport wheel with the m3 wheel.

How much do you think I could get for just the m-sport wheel (no trim), with about 1,500 miles of use? Any offers?

Here's one with the trim listed at $280 shipped
http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=875235

I'd say without the trim it'd be down near $200 shipped.

Thanks for the info, but do you think that for one that's practically brand new? That seems a bit low. The one in the pic looks well-worn.

I can't see the picture here at work but it can't hurt to ask more. I said that number because I also saw an M3 wheel and a couple others that haven't been sold yet so it doesn't seem like demand is very high. In searching, I found these:

http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showt...light=steering
http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showt...light=steering

There are other but they are out of DCT cars. Highest price I saw in those was $400 I think.

I've kept my eye out because I'd eventually like to pick up a perforated M-sport wheel (no cutouts for DCT) but the price has to be right and its low on my wishlist.

Good luck selling it for over $500 when you can search for 5 minutes and find 3 similar (although not like new) for sale under $350 that are still available.

If I were you, I'd list it at $300 because it doesn't have the trim and see where it goes.

I'm just trying to give a possible interested buyer's perspective.

Again, used is not new. This is a new wheel and trim or not a brand new wheel only from the dealer with no trim or anything is still almost 800 bucks.

I wouldnt buy a used wheel usually. The back of them get so sun beaten and the napa leather gets scratched so easily and worn out that a new wheel really does make that much more of a difference.

I just bought a used wheel myself for $250, but again, its not new and as such isnt worth as much ( it had 12k miles on it and looks "almost" new) . If you want to low ball the OP then PM him already and offer him 200 bucks. you and I both know 200 for a brand new wheel is money in the bank.

If the OP's wheel was 6 months old or had 10k miles on it, then i could see 300 bucks.

Brand new or used for 10k, it's worth what someone will pay for it. As someone who will look to buy this item later on, if I saw it listed at $500 I would laugh and then go to the 2 or 3 other threads and buy a very similar item for half the price.

The OP made a thread asking what he could get for it. I'm not trying to low ball nor am I trying to make him an offer, simply giving my honest opinion based on other listings on this forum.

So if i was "willing" to pay 5 bucks for your entire car, is that all it's worth?

Well considering a new wheel goes for over 700 brand new with no trim at the dealer, I, and many others, would be willing to pay 400-500 for his brand new wheel. It's value is'nt worth what YOU are willing to pay, it's worth what the highest bidders willing to pay. But.... have fun with a used wheel for half the price if that's your thing. to each their own.

I dunno why anyone would buy the m-sport wheel for ~500 when you can get a BMWP wheel for just a couple hundred more, unless you are anti alcantara. Also there's the fact that you can shop the e90 and M3 forums as well. For me, maybe an M3 wheel for 500, not an m-sport. But yes supply and demand..

I persoanlly prefer the m sport wheel and perforated leather over the alcantara. dont like the material so much and the M3 for me is too thick. Everyone has there own preference.

If that's what the going price is and I want to sell my car then yes, I'm stuck with current market price based on demand.

And if I'm the highest bidder then yes it is worth what I'm willing to pay. If I can get a wheel that's 8/10 for half the price of a wheel that's 10/10 then I'll gladly take that. To each his own.

I'll repeat myself: the OP asked what he could get for it, I'm giving my opinion based on similar items listed for sale on this forum. If you don't like that then idk what to tell you.
