Whats the most you guys would paid....
for a full detail?
There is a guy that comes to my work (major plus) and usually does an awesome job just washing my car, for relatively cheap. So today i had him wax my car. and it turned out to be a little more then i expected. Keep in mind. He comes to me (this is important and worth a premium to me) He takes like 3 hours to wash it/wax/vacuum, tires The car looks 99% brand new when he is done. I thought the type of wax might be a reason its more money then i thought, but he should me two types of waxes he uses, and i have never heard of either of them. Whats fair? Thanks guys. P.s. I know a lot of you guys just detail your cars yourselfs. and im jealous of you. my last car was a show winner and the love of my life, and i had it when i was living at my parents house, and i washed it about once a week, and had a great time doing it. now i work 10 hour days, everyday. and live at an apartment with no garage and stuff.

i take my car to be detailed at a place that is one of the best in my state. they are always rated at or near the top in "Boston" magazine. they charge me 180.00 and the car always looks better than new when i get it back. my old e46 was black and they said that they used to charge me extra because of it. my new e 90 is tiag so i expect to pay a little less when i have it detailed this fall. they spend about 5-6 hours doing the job, and use top shelf wax like zymol etc. the most i would pay is around 200.00. hope this helps and yes its just that i am too lazy to do it myself. i wash it myself (except in the winter when they do it) but i dont have the patients to detail it myself.

Full exterior detail around here is usualy $100 - $125. They probably spend less than 3 hours though.
The Spa at my dealer charges $100. I had my other car done once and they did a pretty decent job. How much did you pay? |

$200 tops. And my car would have to be dirty as hell, like what my car looked like after my incident with the mud field. I wish I had my own place to wash/detail my car in. I need a lift too...

About $145 here in Tampa. That's both inside and out. The real exterior detail is the buff out and polish before the wax or sealant is applied. Pro detailers never just wash and wax unless it's to apply more wax before it needs swirls and microscratches addressed. But if it is just a wax reapply it's about $45. It's a plus that he comes to your work and what does the convenience mean to you in $$$? Does he bring cover or does he work on it in direct sun?
