Koni sport suspension kit with H&R springs?

hi all

just wondering if anyone has tried this particular kit on their 135i

koni manufacturer number 1140-1873

sold here

does anyone know if the h&r springs in the kit are the exact same as the ones sold separately here. reason being is buying the kit online anywhere seems to be a bit cheaper than buying the individual parts.

the generic info on the koni website here doesn't really indicate

thanks

I have used koni shocks on 2 of my 95 M3s. Very good products. (please note, that I'm talking about just the shocks and NOT the kit you have the link to) On one, it's with H&R sport springs and the other is with Eibach pro kit....the eibach is a little for smoother for everyday driving...So having that said, if i were you, i would purchase separately the koni yellows and pair them with eibach pro kit.

That set up should be fine, are you just doing it for looks or performance as well? I have konis with swift springs and the ride is amazing compared to stock

i'm doing it as i'm just not happy with the ride quality anymore. after ditching the runflats back in february, its just too unsettled. aussie roads aren't exactly the smoothest around.

have found out the koni kits are out of stock for another 2-3 months or so so have ordered koni yellows and h&r sport springs separately from ecstuning. installation is next monday. am also expecting to have the whiteline rear subframe bushings put on at the same time.

hopefully this will do the trick.

What about konis with stock sport springs? Anybody has try that? I'm looking only for a little more sport feeling not to harsh ride.

Your ride will be much improved over the craptastic OE dampers. Koni yellows or Bilstein HDs on stock springs are AOK.

well i can tell you, now install is done, that koni yellow plus h&r sport springs is not harsh at all. while you know you've hit a bump, the car is so much more settled and controlled.

i know of others that have gone either bmw performance springs or h&r oe springs, both of which are somewhere around 30% firmer than stock.

i dont know how true this is but i've read that if you upgrade your dampers, and your springs are too soft (oem) then it puts more strain on the dampers, causing them to wear out sooner.
