pedal panel removal?
Has anyone removed the panel surrounding the pedals? It has several electrical components attached to the inside and one of them is marked ABS. I wondered if anyone has done this and if the battery needs to be disconnected etc.. Any actual experience with this would be appreciated.

I took mine off in search of the footwell module. I didn't unhook the battery. Plugged everything back in and it works fine.

I remember that two of the clips seemed self explanatory to remove but the other(s) did not. Do you remember how all of the clips release? It has been a while since I looked at it. |

i think there was just 2 maybe 3 screws holding it on. in the back above the the foot rest, next to the clutch, there was a tab that had a home to slide into. besides that i think its just unscrew and pull down. while i had all those wires disconnect i kept hearing a noise through the speakers while the car was trying to wake up. once i put everything back together i couldn't hear it anymore.
