GIAC 1M Flash - Stage 1 and 2, 91 octane and 100 octane flash with dyno plots!

Mustang Dyno plots:

Blue: Stock Car
Green: Stage 1 and stage 2 on 91 octane
Red: Stage 1 and stage 2 on 100 octane

Handheld switcher is available and for map switching.

Remember, these are Mustang Dyno numbers, which are very conservative. Again, we are looking at the delta here.

Added Dynojet dyno graph.

Nice. Now we just need to find out which flash tune is the safest and smoothest between the ones out now.

GIAC has always been on the conservative side but still find ways to make good power. All prameters were monitored, recorded and throughly reviewed after each dyno run. A couple of the runs actually made a lot more hp and tq than the dyno plots show here, but the IAT's were getting a bit high so they pull back the boost just a bit for lower IAT's and more reliability.

You may see other tuners making more hp and tq, but may not be doing it with reliability in mind. More may be better here, but at the expense of reliability.

Do you provide the max boost numbers, IAT's, or A/F ratios along with the product? I know you indicated the numbers were somewhat conservative but I would want to know some more critical data before commiting to a product that could potentially grenade my motor.
Thanks

As of today the 1M flash is ready to go!

Stage 2 is in the works, no ETA at this time.

I'm happy to hear its ready! but I'm reposting my question from 7/15/11

"Do you provide the max boost numbers, IAT's, or A/F ratios along with the product? I know you indicated the numbers were somewhat conservative but I would want to know some more critical data before commiting to a product that could potentially grenade my motor."

Can someone answer me 2 questions:

1. What is 'install ability in their handheld switcher'?
2. Why is the torque delta with this tune only 23 compared to ESS 38.

No criticism intended just genuinely don't know the answer behind these two questions.

Thanks in advance to whoever answers.

Is there still an additional charge for the Stage 2 after purchasing Stage 1?

Loved GIAC on my Audi, curious to see how users feel about GIAC vs ESS, I have heard some really good things about ESS but have been waiting to see how they compare.

You just pay the difference. The GIAC Stage 1 for the 1M will be $900 so the Stage 2 will most likely be $1100.

So we would need to pay another $200 for the Stg 2 if we have the Stg 1?

(Plus the cost of the handheld switcher.)

Thanks Motion for answering my question. Still a couple more

1. What is 'install ability in their handheld switcher'?
2. What do you mean by 'ESS use different scales to produce a higher torque figure'

Thanks

If the handheld is the same as the Audi/VW/Porsche style, it's $150. You will have to pay for additional mapping like stock, race fuel and valet though.
That is correct.
