Personally, i even find tow hooks on cars at the track stupid. Are you seriously anticipating crashing your car today? How often do you crash? Is it really that convenient to leave it on? Not to mention, it slightly affects your aero.

This may sound crazy, but even with snow tires the winters here in Toronto can be pretty bad and i have had to use my tow hook so much that i simply leave it in during the winter. However, I plan on taking it out when all this blasted snow melts.
