Help with manual (recommending gear) arrow setting
I am not sure it is clear enough.
I have 2 keys. One of them when I use it the rectangular gauge showing Odometer will have an arrow telling me what gear I should be using to save fuel. It does not have that when I'm in M mode. The spare key does not show the same thing so I reckon it's a setting issue. But a look at iDrive I can't find it?!?! Question is: how do I turn the bloody indicator thing off? Thanks in advance I am due to SouthernBM service next week so I can wait for it of an OBD scanner is required.

Interesting, my Dad has been driving with the second key and he was telling me the same thing. I didn't believe him.

from memory (so might be wrong), with the OBC button on the left hand stalk, you go to the setting where nothing is displayed (i.e. no av. fuel consumption, inst. consumption etc) and then hold the button in for about 5 seconds.

MickyD's right put the key that doesn't recommend the gear in and follow his steps. If you put the key that does recommend the key in and follow those steps, it will no longer do so.
