LED angel eyes
Those LED angel eyes on the current 3 series coupes look awesome. Slightly blue, very well-defined, and bright. Is there a way to get that look on a 1er? I think I read that it's not possible to retrofit the 3er's lights into the 1. What gets the closest? LUX, Alpine, none of them...?

Hi
Yes seen that thread. My only issue is will you see them in the daylight because if we are all honest that is the look we are after like LCI 3 series etc... |

Yeah, that is the big question. I have seen some people saying they're bright in daylight, but I'd rather see a flood of people saying they're bright in daylight

the LUX H8 V3 will be the brightest LED option available for the 1-series. Feel free to send me a PM with any questions

The LUX LEDs are definitely the brightest LED option for the 1 series. However, they're still LEDs and not as bright as HID kits. On the plus side, there's no external wiring for you to mess around with.
Both LED and HID options will not look quite as "good" on the 1 series as the HID angels on the new 3, 5, X3 etc because the internals of the headlight make it so one bulb illuminates both rings, so the inner ring, which gets the light first, will always be slightly brighter. However, both Alpine HID kits and LUX LED kits are designed in such a way to minimize this effect as much as possible. LEDs are notorious for looking great at night/dawn/dusk but being invisible in direct sunlight. From what I have seen from LUX, this doesn't seem to be a very big issue for them, but all I see are pictures which can be easily manipulated to look better or worse. I haven't seen any of them in person. I went with an HID kit. A little more work to hook it up to the battery, but it was cheaper and always looks great. I'm excited to see some real daylight, direct sun pictures of LUX bulbs, though. They stand the best chance out of all the brands out there to actually be visible in the sun.
