Halogen Headlight Retrofit Poll - Housing Color?

Also posted this to 128i sub-forum but I guess it makes sense here as a broader E82 fanatic aesthetic poll

Have a little project cooking ... What is your reaction to below headlight design? Goal is to follow the "old meets new, end of an era" spirit for the E82, maybe even weave in a nod or two to some past models' design

A big color question mark here is whether or not to leave the housings stock grey and there are times where it does look softer and more appropriate - and then there are other times I look at it like ... Why didn't they just make 'em black?

Then I come back to: Hmm.. Let's avoid going too storm trooper - grey, metallic, black palette in the headlights might be more aligned when paired with two-tone (polished + painted grey) 313M wheels anyhow...

Let me know what you think - Stock Headlight Grey or Black Painted Housing?

I upgraded my lights to LCIs, now going to be doing further modification!
