The 330d that e90post built - sneak preview!

Well, after an agonising 3-month wait, my car is finally here and I've just been to see it at the dealers. It's still in its unwashed, pre-delivery state at the moment (hence the high suspension setting) and I couldn't even sit in it, but I got a waft of that new BMW smell when my sales rep opened the doors and all the options I ordered seem to be there (including the professional satnav, which I got for free!).

I am very happy with the black/lemon/poplar combo and would like to thank all of you who helped me configure the car back in January. Had I not seen the photos of the lemon in the Official Interior thread, I would never have dared order it

BTW, does anyone know what that piece of black plastic is on the rear parcel shelf behind the seatbelt? That is my red Fiat Panda 4x4 in the background

Delivery (incl. the BlackLines, rear spoiler & front mudflaps) and better pictures Friday!

Lemon and the anthracite headliner are just meant to go together. Congrats!!

If Lemon was available in the US, I would have gotten it.
If the Anthracite headliner was available in the US, I would have gotten it.
If the 330d was available in the US, I would have gotten it.
If the M-package was available in the US, I would have gotten it.
If clears were available in the US, I would have gotten it.

Do you see a pattern here?

Thanks for those comments, guys I really took my time configuring this car and that's why I had to wait the full three months for it to be built specially to order.

I didn't actually take the M Sport pack, because it includes the sports suspension which I didn't want, but here in Europe we can order bits of the pack separately (wheel, headliner, etc.).

That's the $50 folding headrest option.

Ohh that is 1 stunning e90 ...black, lemon, anthracite and poplar is just so classy and modern-cool...I love how they all came together Congratulations...I know you waited quite some time.

I have no idea what that plastic thing on the rear shelf is...looks like a GPS receiver/tracking or Sat thingymajig....may truck cargo tracking?

Black plastic thing.

Nice car - looks good!

Black plastic clip on rear shelf is to secure middle seatbelt buckle whan you specify the load-thru option (e.g. rear seats that fold down). This means that the belt doesn't flap about when the seats are folded. It works well.

Enjoy!!

Thanks for all the nice comments. Sharing like this makes my new car experience even more pleasurable

BTW, look how they parked my car. Aarrghh, I will be thinking about that wheel sitting in that puddle all night

Opinion was divided. Personally, I love the M Sport rear bumper, but I'm not sure about the front. Also, I definitely didn't want the sports suspension, and the 162 wheels - which I really like - were unavailable.

The M steering wheel definitely looks good. Can't wait for having mine installed and using it. The grip must be excellent.

I know, it's embarassing isn't it? And those were the most flattering photos Believe it or not, this is the back of the main BMW dealership in France's 4th largest city. Americans would never stand for it, but the French just don't seem to care about 'details' like the state of the parking lot. It is better round the front, but the back is a disgrace. Still, I suppose they would say that they don't normally allow customers round there...

As for the //M wheel, I would actually have preferred it without the pointless perforated leather around the sides: it doesn't really go with the classy lemon & wood ambiance, IMO. It would look nicer with the aluminium, but I got it anyway for the extra fat rim.

it does look like parking at the farm...I am curious to see what the showroom looks like I hope the service area is not in a barn...

I'd be so pissed if they start piling on BS fees (to cover overheads)...what overheads??

Nice car Paul- congratulations.

If you fancy coming back over to the UK with your car just after Easter, you're welcome to the first UK meet at Donington Park on Sat April 22nd.

All the best.
