They're weak. This has been documented as far back as the late 70s-early 80s. If you're car sits in one place for, shoot, we'll say say anymore than a week you'll need a jumpstart. It's becoming even more of an issue nowadays with all the extra computers onboard.
There was someone on here that had the battery drainage issue while at a drive in, but thats the only one I've heard so far involving the E90. However, the E60 and the X3 seem to be the worst offenders in todays BMW fleet. When I was working in the new car showroom at our local dealer, almost everytime we needed to move a 5 series or an X3 it would have to be jumped. *shakes head* |

yeah, i would agreed that w/ all the high tech computer technologies, BMW cars are not completely shutdown when you turn off the engine. I agreed that the car will need a small amount of current to monitor certains mechanism which will drain the battery slowly when the engine is shutdown. In that case, if you take any battery, you get the same result.
