taller tire in the rear

ok so i plan on running a staggered 235/40/17 and 265/40/17 in the rear . the rear tire will be about 12 mm taller will i run into any issues ?
i know i can down size the rear but i need the traction. i know i can upaize the front to a 235/45/17 or 245/40/17 but im scared about rubbing

I've had 225/35/19 and 245/35/19 on my car without issues. I think you'll be fine, especially after you burn off some of that rear rubber!

I wish I could go wider, but my current 255 rears will be backed back down to 245 my next replacement, I'm still rubbing too much even at nearly 3 deg of rear camber.
