Performance Front Bumper
So thanks to some fantastic road debris (metal gutter piping) I now have a chunk missing from my brand new M-sport front bumper.
I just filed the claim with my insurance company, and I'm thinking about getting the performance bumper this time around. Here's the issue: I've looked at the parts diagrams, but I don't really understand what I'm looking at. Can someone who has done this tell me what all needs to be replaced? I'm primarily wondering if it's worth it. http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...92&hg=51&fg=95 I'd have to pay my $500 deductible to get it fixed anyways, so why not if its about the same cost? Thanks for the help guys.

I would contact Dan@United or Jason@Tischer. The Performance front bumper is cool, but there are so many little parts that you need. You need to talk to an expert. Should be under $800 in parts I would think.
Why a $500 deductible? Most comp claims have a zero deductible. ?

$500 is the deductible on my policy. No other driver involved means it was my fault, regardless of the situation, so the deductible is mine to eat. AT LEAST my policy will cover it, a lot of other insurance companies will not cover this kind of garbage.
Thanks for the tip. Edit: sent out the messages. We shall see! I am hoping I will be able to procure all the parts I need & get them painted with the claims coverage from my insurance and then just do the work myself. No reason I cant once I get the new bumper cover painted.

I thought about the ARKYM Aerorace, but it's too expensive and will cost me more than the $500 I already have to pay which I am not ok with at this time. I'm open to other suggestions as long as they have perfect fitment and arent made out of brittle material like Fiberglass or CF!

number 1 is what you looking for. it`s a complete set! when your car is a 135i you need the cooling package too which is quiet expensive. (see red text)

here is a pic of my car:
look at the center mesh. there are two air ducts left and right. and here is a non 135i: he has no additional air ducts in the middle, the left and right is completely closed. same as the stock bumper.

Awesome, thanks for the comparo shots! Now time to see if I can make it happen. Got the estimate on Monday morning, we shall see if it's high enough to cover the bumper + paint!

the additional air ducts are very expensive! they cost about 400-450$ over here!
the left and right outter ducts will be replaced, too. the same with the inner mesh of course.

Yes you do if you have a 135i.
I'm saving for a new bumper now. I'll either end up with the BMWP bumper or the Rieger front kit.
