135i M-Sport Tires

My 2013 M-Sport has spent some time at the local tuner and I have a JB4, suspension mods, intercooler and Dinan LSD added... drives great but I still don't like the run flats... What have you guys replaced them with that has some grip? No snow here ever so I don't have to worry about that.

So far I have 3500km on the car and I love it.. just want it to handle a little bit better

Wait you've added all those things, yet still have the runflats? Thats crazy! I've got Continental DWS tires that are working out pretty well, especially on wet roads. They even do pretty well on the random snow/ice that we get from time to time in Oklahoma.

Assuming you want summer performance tires, I would look at Direzza z2, rs3 or michelin PSS in 225/255 combo.

Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 (or anything from Extreme Performance category), in sizes of 225/40R18f and 255/35R18r.

You will get excellent performance on dry/wet conditions, on the street or track.

Replacing your stock rear subframe bushings should be on top of your list, as the stock ones are soft and matched to the stiff sidewalls runflats. Replaced my rear subframe bushings a while back, AFTER I got rid of my RunFlats, and BEFORE I installed my Quaife LSD.

The stiffer rear subframe bushings planted the car down, and removed rear end wiggle/vague movement.

Michelin PSS, hands down.

I still have the stock RFTs on my 135, but when I replace them, I will be ordering the Michelins. I've had both PSS and the Dunlop Direzza Z1 Star Specs on my previous 335. Both were superb tires, with the Dunlops having perhaps marginally better dry traction but at the cost of tread wear and noise. PSS offers the best of both worlds.

I can't believe you left the RFTs on after having PSS and Star Specs

I got Pilot Sport AS/3s. I'm pretty satisfied with them. Really anything that's not a runflat will drastically improve your ride quality if you just drive around town.

So when you dump the run flats what do you do about a spare? I have a friend who changed his insurance to add road assistance. Just wondering what how others have approached this

Since the runflats only have 3500kms, sell those and apply the credit towards a set of PSS.

I have a Slime kit. It'll fix most problem, obviously not a shredded or blown tire, but it's something. Also have AAA.

Bought mini BMW spare from dealer($$), jack and 4way tire bar from local autoparts(cheap). Doesn't take up that much trunk room IMO.
