I finally got some miscellaneous stuff done... gloss back kidney grilles and 35% non-reflective tint. Just need to get a real photoshoot going instead of settling for iphone pics lol

Its funny you were looking at a GTO before the BMW. I too was looking for one or a EVO 9 but couldn't find a clean example of either. Either they were way to modded or sitting on 100K miles. Can't say I don't love the 135 though!

Completely understand, man! Couldn't find a clean 05-06 in my area at all

Track times...

Thanks!

Since this is my cover-everything thread, I'll just add my track runs here lol. Apologies for the crappy pics

So I finally got around to getting a PTF e-tune from Jake@PTF... And all I can say is that the whole process has been pretty awesome. Jake@PTF is great to work with. He answers all of my questions very quickly and he sends out map revisions the very next day after receiving my datalogs. He has been working with me on a 93oct (fbo) tune for about a month now and his maps are simply superior to the stock ots maps.

The car drives and idles much smoother and pulls through the gears a lot harder in the middle of summer than it did during late winter/early spring. I haven't been to the dyno, but I think my track times are proof of how big of an improvement Jake's maps are over the ots ones.

I went to the track last night (Carolina Dragway) and ended up with consistent 12.7s and a 12.6 with 2.1 60ft times (235/40r18 A/S 3s). My ETs are about what I ran before the PTF tune, but the differences in the temp/DA were huge. I am running the same times as I did at 1600ft higher DA and with the weather almost 30 degrees hotter (low 90s/mid 80s). Suffice to say, had the conditions been the same I would have seen significant improvements over the previous times. Now I'm working with Jake on an e48 map so I won't have to wait until fall for respectable times lol.

Some of the other street cars mixed with previous track day pics.

Their times in comparison...
Stockish a4 Z28 f-body ran a 13.6
F-body SS (unknown mods) on drag radials, high 12s
03/04 Terminator that dynoed 501/469 ran a best of 12.4@116 with a 2.2 60ft
2008 GT with a stickshift, 15s
Newer 5.0, 13s
Challenger SRT8, 13s as well
And a red fox body was somewhere in the low 12s/high 11s range all night

Haven't really updated this thread in a few, so I'll just list some of the most recent changes.

- Currently running running VRSF's 7" FMIC in place of my previous Wagner stepped core unit
- Made the switch to AFE's sealed intake from BMS' DCI
- And my current fave... moved from a squared V701 set-up to staggered APEX EC-7s (235/40r18, 275/35r18) in race silver
- I've also been running an awesome e48 map from Jake@PTF

Big thanks to Jake@PTF, Mike@x-ph, and David@ApexRaceParts! On to the iphone pics lol

Thanks! I'll be heading back the moment the temperature/humidity drops. Hopefully soon as I have four 5-gallon cans with e85 just sitting in my garage lol

Do you recommend a certain can? I need to do the same. The only E85 station here is 15 miles away in a horrible direction for me and I'm getting tired of driving out there.

I recently bought cheap Midwest cans, which I kinda regret.

I highly recommend the 5-gallon ones from VP. Although they're pricier, they're a lot more durable and they seal a lot better as well.

Update: Splash guards!

I know these aren't aesthetically pleasing to most, but my paint has been taking a beating since switching to 235/275 wide tires. I don't think they came out too bad.

Always a pleasure, thanks for the compliment!

The girlfriend bought me this paint matching spoiler. Extremely happy with the fit and finish considering the price.

Got tired of feathering the throttle then playing catch up at the track so I ended up buying NT555Rs (245/45R17s) on DR-37 wheels. I think they pair up quite well with my EC-7s.

Car looks great! I haven't seen many other 1ers around Augusta.

Have you been back to the track with the new drag radials, yet?

Thanks! My buddy and I drove out to the track with the new set only to find out that Test and Tune nights won't be back until February haha.

Just let me know if you want to head out there. Decent showing every now and then. Some of the cars I've ran against... ESS E92 M3, FBO RB turbo E90, bolt-on Terminator, '14 Viper GTS, and the usual plethora of GM F-bodies and Fox body Mustangs.
