I've negotiated a pass for Saturday; but will have my 8 year old with me. Is this a problem for anyone? Don't feel like you can't tell me if it is..
Also, I don't have a radio so will either need a lend of one or an idea of where to get one - Dick Smiths?

Thanks Zuzu; I'll be the one at the back (I've been told to behave myself as I have to bring the boy wonder along)

Yep, what Joe said. Think of this as a family day out with some "spirited driving" between courses. So please bring the rugrats and better half. My wife Fiona will be staying home during the drive so that my son Alex (4yo) can play with any other kids who want to stay behind too (4yo Jasmine is already one taker). Any of the wives/girlfriends who would prefer to do likewise and skip the drive are welcome to spend the day with Fiona chatting over coffee, cake, etc. Even so, I'm expecting that there will be several kids and wives/girlfriends who will tag along for the ride (based on past experience). Sick bags are optional.

A handheld UHF CB is extremely handy for these drive days. It means that we can chat and share jokes along the road, and also warn each other about road conditions, oncoming traffic, etc. With a big group, it also means we're more likely to all end up in the same place at the same time. It's possible to manage without a CB, but it's more difficult and not as much fun. So please, anyone who doesn't have a CB or can't borrow one from a friend, please give serious thought to Yep's offer.

Us Canberra lot are meeting you lot at the 'Robinson pie shop' at 11am. Pretty good pies but I think Nimitabel ones are better.

Good to hear Yep. Do you know of any other Canberra people who're doing the same? From what I can see so far, it's only you coming from Canberra. There might be a few Minis too, but I think you're the only 1addict. It's easy to get to -- I'll post some Google Directions closer to the day, just to make sure.
