Founded in 1971, SSR formally Speed Star Racing was established. SSR then released the first aluminum racing 3 piece wheel, the MK1. Aluminum wheels were in high demand at the time, and led to start of JWL (Japan Light Alloy Wheel) Certification in 1973. JWL certification involves testing impact strength and endurance strength. SSR wheels are always put through JWL testing before they are used on the street or track. In 1981, a 3rd party statutory board the VIA (Vehicle Inspection Association) was created to verify JWL testing. Both the JWL and VIA logo are embossed into each and every SSR wheel representing dedication to quality control. SSR has always focused on manufacturing precise, lightweight, and strong wheels and will continue this tradition for years to come. Over the years, SSR's racing heritage has led them to many victories and championships including the 1979 Formula Nippon race that took 1st Place, and their BMW M1 race car in 1980.

Key Features
SSR one piece wheels are lightweight and strong. SSR starts with an MHD (Magneto-Hydro Dynamics) billet piece of aluminum which is heated to a semi-solid semi-molten state. The material is then pressed in through the SSF machine at an extremely high rate creating the wheel. It is then cooled down and cleaned via air gun.

SSF manufactured faces are welded to an HTM inner barrel using SSR's innovative technology. By combining both SSF and HTM SSR wheels are light-weight and incredibly strong. The Hybrid 2 Piece wheels feature an SSF face welded to an HTM inner barrel to become one piece. This technology is exclusive only to SSR.

The Type F euro only comes in the Searchlight silver color.

they do come in 18" for the 1er.

although, this is not a set for the 135i, this will show you the finish a little better. this is a set that we recently did for the E85 Z4M.

sent you some information.
this is actually a fitment that works really well for the 1 series, much better than most 8.5/9.5 combo wheels on the market right now. it will give you the clearance you need in the front as well as the rear for 225 and 255 tires.
