I'm sure someone can chime in. 1.5 seconds seems like an awful lot though, you would think that kind of defeats the purpose of launch control!
You should bring the car out to the WSID drag day on Sunday 22nd January. |

but again i thought launch control means maximum acceleration with minimal wheel spin maybe i just have to adjust me reaction time to the light if i was on a drag strip |

Care to share how the Launch Control mode is activated in the N55?

DTC or Traction off. Sport Button On Select M1 Left foot on the brake, right foot to the floor Then release the brake. The car wont engage launch control unless its temperatures are correct, but after that its good to go. |

In the Z4 I get a small delay, not more than a second.
I do get a small delay when just flooring it anyway. (Damn computers) Do you get the chequered flag coming up on the dash to tell you it is ready to go? Mine is (warm up car) then: 1. Sport plus 2. Select M1 3. Foot on brake 4. Floor accelerator. (RPM limited to about 4000) 5. See flag come up on dash, then release brake. 6. Noticable wheelspin and squirming as you accelerate away. all while avoiding
