Pure Turbo Stg1 for N54
Anyone have experience with pure stage 1 turbos for n54? I know that they aren't listed on their website but it is on 3rd party vendors.
I'm well aware that there are options to make much more horsepower, but these are attractive option to me as the car is just weekend driver, not interested in making crazy hp, reliability is very important and don't want to push 6AT to its limit. (and please no more wastegate rattle) The car is currently FBO without inlet/outlets and on MHD stage 2+. From my understanding Pure Turbos has better customer review compare to other vendors. Feel free to chime in! |

Pure Ps1 or Ps2 are great.
If you REALLY REALLY don't want the extra power of PS2 over PS1 then get the PS1. It really just comes down to how much power you want. |

I had PS1s on my car they felt great with inlets and outlets. But after I put them in I always wished I put in PS2s. But realistically the car needed an LSD more.

haha. everyone i talked to that either had ps1 or have some exposure, all tell me to go with ps2 not because of issues with the turbos but just the powerbug

A little late to this but I had ps1 installed last month on my n54 135i at ssr performance in SoCal. My rear stock turbo blew and I was having crazy wastegate rattle. It’s amazing hearing the new turbos with no wastegate rattle. I’m currently running mhd stage 2+ with E25 blend. Power feels great but with stage 2+ it’s still limiting the turbos to 18psi. I’m going to get the m boost option that will allow 22psi and then I should really feel a difference. Overall I’m happy with them and I know they are reliable which is nice feeling since this is my daily driver.

thats great!
Really torn between going ps1 and keep the car "nearly" stock or going single turbo and keeping the boost low for that woosh hahaha. So at 18psi, how much power/torq are you making? |

Ya it just depends on how much you want to spend and how reliable you want your car. I still need to dyno my car but just an estimate would be around 430whp and 480tq. Once I get inlets and the m boost to boost more I could probably see 500whp and have it be reliable.
