Cool video, thanks for posting. And the S2000 was fast too. But this track and that sky and landscape takes my vote as the highlight of the video.

Yes - my friend is very fast. We were within .1 seconds of each other that day. Light weight and superior suspension has definite benefits. The track is in southern california.

Verrry nice! Much more entertaining video than the last GoPro footage that was posted consisting of "racing" a Ferrari.
By the way, how do you not have any wind noise with that camera placement? What case were you using?

I use an external mic which I run to the back bumper to pick up the exhaust. It's a GoPro skeleton case. However, you could simply drill holes in a regular waterproof case and stick a mic cable in.

Interesting. Any more details on the mic you used and the way you set it up (wiring and such)?

That was definitely a different exhaust note than stock

No, the car is not stock, but the mods are not extensive at all. I won't post mods here but feel to PM me. The most important mod is the 'driver' mod!
It's just a $20 Mic I found on Amazon http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ls_o00_s00_i00 There's no special wiring at all. I just have the mic cable go into the car, through the back seat and out to the license plate area. I use painter's tape to secure the mic to the space next to the light for the license plate. |

Great vid Eric! The microphone definitely makes the video alot more enjoyable to watch since you aren't just hearing the wind jumbling everything up.

great video, thanks. What a blast
Just curious, have you experimented with mic placement in diff areas behind the car? IS this the 'best spot'? Or just the first one thats worked out pretty good?

Yes - it is Chuckwalla. Currently my favorite.
Thanks Phil! I experimented with different placements on the rear area of the car. It didn't make a whole lot of difference where I put it, but near the license plate light generated the least amount of wind noise. |

Yeah - it's currently my favorite. It's very well designed and technically challenging. There is very little 'down time' and it's just corner to corner. The surface is new and there is a lot of run off so it feels safe. They run it mostly CCW, but sometimes CW as well.
