Rota wheels 18x9.5 et30 18x10et20
just purchased rota grid with spec 18x9.5 et 30 (front) and 18x10 et 20 (rear) i wonder if it fits in 1m? And what spec of tyres you guys think to fit without rubbing issues? Plan to use stock ride height setup. Any comment and input welcome.. Thx guys..

Depending on what size tire you use in the front it may rub against the strut tube. A tire like a wider 265/35/18 Hankook RS3 or Dunlop Star Spec may graze the strut tube requiring the use of a 3-5mm spacer. Our front wheel that we usually recommend is an 18x9.5" ET22 which has much more clearance against the strut. The rear size is a great fitment and a 285/35/18 tire should fit really nicely with that wheel.

Thx joe, for the input, i am thinking of putting 245/40/18 255/40/18. Or 255/35/18 265/35/18 to avoid using any spacer in front. What you think?? 285/35/18 also considerable.

Those staggered tire sizes should fit the front without the use of a spacer but will have sidewall stretch over the 9.5" and 10" wide wheels. A better fitting tire set up would be either 255/35/18 and 275/35/18 or 265/35/18 and 285/35/18. The second option may need a small 3-5mm front spacer depending on which type of tire you end up using.

Finally putting a 265/35/18 and 275/35/18 setup.
@joe i dont understand shock tube rubbing issue on front tyres as it doest happend to my front tyres and been trying a road test slow and highspeed in cornering, heavy bump etc turns out nothing happend... I use accelera phi front and phi2 on rears, as it hard to get tyres with those setup here in my country. Thx in advance. Will upload pic shortly. |

Thx for advice joe.. Just come back from local tyre shop done wheel allignment for the M. They confirm it wont rub the shock tube in anyway. I assume probably because of the tyres that i use are a bit round on the edge?? Just my assumption. Cmiiw.
