Different front/rear tyre patterns

I'm about to change out the tyres on my 135i.
I'm thinking Kumho Ecsta KU31 in the front and Ecsta KU39 at the back due to stock availability. Will there be any issues as they are of different models and tread patterns?

Thanks

as long as left to right is the same, and front to back it's not a HUGE tread/grip difference... you'll just notice oversteer or understeer a little more potentially.

on a high performance tyre the difference is hardly noticeable, on a mediocre tyre like Kumhos difference less so again.

At a recent event, an E92 M3 driver was running front PSS and rear PSC (!).
I vaguely recall him commenting on understeer; but overall he was not driving aggressively (Phillip Island).

I run rear PSS's and front OE runcraps - no issue. I like the turn-in of the runcraps

I run pzeros on the front and PSS on the back. Only difference is the PSSs are miles better than the pzeros on the rear.

I guess the problem may be related to the unusual tire size of the 135i. If it was my car, I would increase the front tire size to 225/40/18 which is a more popular size (Although it will lift the car by 4mm at the front).

Many people upgrade to 225/40/18 front and 255/35/18 rears which keeps the same sidewall height front and rear.
