New Z4 to be BMW/Toyota joint venture?

I came across this today. I'm not entirely sure how I feel about it

Does anyone else think this just looks like another 86?

I doubt that artists impression will bear any relationship to how the next z4 looks other than being a 2door vert.

I wonder where carsales is getting this breaking info from before ANY other source?

no links to anything, and if toyota gets no new model out of it, why would they bother?

unless this could be the new celica? except the price tag will be too high for anything BUT a supra.

>"And even with that type of construction, you can expect a sticker price around the same as that of the current Z4. No more than $70,000," adds our source.

LOL $70k? even a current Z4 28i is $100k+. let alone the 35i at 115k+... not so sure on this 'source'

ED: 2.0 4cyl Hybrid? not really feeling it

maybe if it's an N20 it won't suck, at least you can get 300+ out of it easy.

It's been known that toyota is going to be doing Z4 stuff for a long time, but not that toyota won't get a car out of it.
