foam wash gun
Hi guys,
So I'm thinking about getting a foam gun and I was wondering if I could get some info from you guys. First, I don't have the water pressurizer and I can't afford it (how much are they anyway? I've seen $150 ones and like $2000 ones) so I'm thinking about getting a foam gun that doesn't need a pressurizer http://www.autogeek.net/foam-gun.html What are pros and cons of foam guns and how do you use it? Thanks! |

I have one. I love it.
PROs: Bad ass mega mountains of soap. CONs: It uses a lot of concentrated soap! could be pricey for you. (Maybe I just like foaming up the car or washing it too many times. hahaah) Either way, the 2oz sample they gave me didnt even cover the whole first wash. its a good thing I bought a huge bottle to go with it. I live less than 5 mintues from autogeek so im in there all the time getting stuff |

Sure. I love mine. I bought it because I dont feel like dragging out the damn pressure washer everytime I wash my car. I soap the car down with the gun, rinse, then spray the foam in front of my MF mit as i am washing the car. still use the two bucket method and have great results. no complaints. I use the DP concentrate. the same thing as the sample they send with the foam gun. works good. have not tried any others yet. nice minty smell to it.

I love mine, I have a Pressure Washer and a foam lance. I also bought a 25 litre tube of foam mixture at the same time so not too concerned with how much I use.

Go for the power washer. If you can't aford it now save and then get it or buy used.
The foam lance buy from pressure washers direct. Its MTM Hydro and works great $42.99. Get the chemical guys snow foam from Detailed Image $29.99. They support our site and give us 10% off. Thanks all. Looks like I just missed the shipping free deadline :/
I think after shampooing and rinsing my car with this foam gun, I'm still going to wash again with Meguiar's wash and wax. I notice big difference after washing my car with just Meguiar's shampoo and Meguiar's Wash & Wax. Much glossy after Meguiar's Wash & Wax. I'm primarily going to use the foam gun and the Chemical guys shampoo to get rid of dusts and stuff without making much swirl marks THEN I'll follow up by washing one more time with Meguiar's Wash & Wax for that glossy look. I'm excited! |
