Hello from Puerto Rico!!
New owner of a slightly used 135i stepthronic (i know) but price and availability was an issue, i wanted a manual or at least DCT but honestly this is the best autobox ive ever driven. I love this car and the forum has been helpful on making my desicion and also figuring out how everything works. This is my first BMW, i upgraded from a 2008 350z base model and the 135 feels quicker even with the auto. I always wanted a BMW but could never afford one...even now i dont believe i can afford it since prices in Puerto Rico are prohibitive for BMWs. Payed 39,000 dollars for a 21k miles 135i but heh u only live once and u only live once uve driven a BMW!! So far im loving everything about it even tho i have a love/hate relationship with the engine...i know its a turbo, but if i didnt know that i wouldnt have noticed it was a turbo. I want that hissss that i love about turbo cars. Other than that hello from Puerto Rico! ill post pics once i figure out how to.

Would you also say that to someone in Australia who paid upwards of $100k? Prices vary greatly by country and he clearly stated that BMWs in particular are very expensive in PR.

Congrats! Sounds like you have been wanting a BMW for quite some time. This car is definitely the right one to pick.

Welcome fellow Boricua!!
Cars in Puerto Rico are about 20% more due to taxes.

There is a cpl of boricuas arround here... I live in Cupey, so stay in touch so we can meet on the Dyno or we can have a roadtrip to Ponce for a Sneaky Rental. |

Felicidades! I'm originally from Ponce but have been living in OH for 25 years now. Be very careful with the potholes on the road and the low profile tires. I would love to be able to drive my car through the nice twisty roads down there!

Hello everyone, im from Naguabo East side of the island. Its true i cant shop around and that price for everything is sky high. Remember i bought used with 20k miles and it was still 39 grand, but in comparison a brand new Subaru STI retails for 52k remember, we use the same US dollar so my prices are in dollars. Im due for HPFP recall and DME i booked with AutoGermana for next week...they say its an overnighter so far im loving this car, Honestly i dont know why other cars exist...seriously I love this machine. Pot holes are a constant perrill here and im avoiding them at all costs. HPFP has not giving me any problems and car runs fine, i will try new filters cuz i want that turbo sound. IM also looking into tunning solutions, COBB seems to be a great choice due to instal-remove and JB4 due to it being the most popular, altho there are no roads here for alot of HP, theres no such thing as too much HP lol. I am looking into lesser versions of the JB cuz thats all ill need, this car is plenty quick as is right now and i enjoy the handling alot. Roads here are small and cramped and turns a plenty, theres no straight highway on the island. This car is the peerfect size with the perfect power to enjoy the whole island. I had fun with a 2010 M3 the other day on the highway and being able to keep up with an M3 is fine by me. Thanks for the warm welcome guys and if you are ever in PR hit me up in PM. Planned mods are: Spacers, wheel paint the same as Exhaust Tips and my MTX amp with my Alpine rs 10" added to the amp of the car like in the DYI section and of course JB!! Saludos everyone!

Cobb sounds great but the price! im looking at used units for a better price. Elsabor cool being in Germany i bet the 135 is very popular there. Here not so much due to pricing and low per capita income.
