I had this problem with my parent's van once when I barrowed it recently (my car was still on the boat coming over here). My parents said it was my fault it wasnt working right, I disagreed.
Glad I was right, lol. I never had the issue with my BMW though. |

Same thing with my previous G35, you gotta play nice with the stick. In and out, in and out until you fine a nice spot to shoot it all out.
But no problem with my 135, Coz the station I use had a 1 inch spring at the end close to the handle. Kcc

Last night on the way home was the first time the car simply wouldn't take any gas no matter how I angled the pump. I managed to get $5.00 in it.

This happens every once in a blue moon when filling up my car. I just back the filler nozzle out a little and that seems to work.

I have had the same problem filling the tank in several BMWs. I once talked to a gas station owner and he said that it is caused by a test they are required to do every so often to test for leaks in their tanks and lines. Apparently they pump air under high pressure into the system and see if the pressure holds. He said it can take a week or more for the excess pressure to bleed from the system. It takes longer for the less used grade of gas such as high octane simply because less cars use the higher price gas.
He seemed to know what he was talking about, but you never know. He was definitely trying to sell me high test gas and the X3 was not taking it. Lou |
