Yep, the narrow fronts (19x8, et47) would work all the way around.

im running a 19x9.5 rear et45 and its agressive with a stretched 245. idk how much wider a wheel you can squeeze.

Yea, the offset for the rears ideally should be ET50. I've got ET45 with 19x9.5 with a 255 falken tire +negative camber and still get some rubbing. And this is all on a stock suspension/ride height. If you want to lower the car, then your challenge is much more.

Fronts can work but the rears are extremely aggressive and will not work. You need an offset around +45-50 for a 9.5" rear to work.

Don't do 19s, I've got them and honestly think 18s with a drop and some wide tires look much much better and you don't have the hassle or rolling fenders!
I've got matt black V701 +45 all round on a AW 135! 18s are a better bet, IMHO! |

Ive got an idea here, Charles, perhaps you can add some professional insight to this. I am considering the 19" vmr 701's for my 135, how does this setup sound: 19x8.5 et45 front wheels and 19x8.5 et35 for the rear wheels. I would likely run a straight tire setup with this but im wondering how this would fit? I know the front would fit alright with a 225/35 tire, would the rear line up well with the fender (with the same size tire) as well seeing as it has a more aggressive offset which will push the wheel farther out??
Ive never thought of this setup before since ive always been so set on doing nothing but staggered, but since the fitment specs are so limited for the 1er I figured this would work and also give a sexier convavity for the rears. My other question is will this cause handling performance issues for me as opposed to a usual staggered setup (19x8.5 - 19x9.5 with 225 - 255 tires)? In other words will I experience more understeer due to havin a same size tire up front or not? Overall general opinions are appreciated =) |

Square setups understeer less. As our car is decently balanced F/R, putting equal tire widths F/R will result in the same amount of force each side of the car can hold on with. Square should be much closer to neutral steering.
Personally though, I think you're being an idiot trying to put on wheels that wont work. You want more rubber, not less with these cars because they have so much power. If it's for looks, that's fine, just know you're going to hate driving and you wasted 40+k on a fantastic car that you've ruined. Search through the forums for what people have done. Personally I'd recommend 18", +45 offset up front and +62 offset rear (or as close as you can get to this). Don't hate on me for picking the arc-8 offsets... they're the right ones. |

Well I did sorta realize after posting this that with such a setup I would be stuck with 225 width tires all around which wouldnt be proficient for a car with this kinda power at the rear wheels, however dont call me idiotic for such an idea. Ive been pooling over wheel/tire ideas for a summer setup for some time now, just about covered every base and spec setup so its not like i dont know my other options, I just figured I would ask about this.
Other reason for asking is not just cosmetic, it also saves me money on not having to get 2 sets, one being much larger and more expensive, and also as you said lowers my understeer which is a good thing. This or a staggered both have equal amounts of pros and cons, however im realizing really though that with a FI rwd car like this it really just make more sense to put as much rubber down in the rear as possible without rubbing. I REALLY just wish there was more of a variety of good looking wheels with a 18/19x8 for fronts available That would make such a difference, I personally think an 8.5" wide wheels is just too wide for this car and its slim inner fender, etc. An 18x8 et48 is pretty much the most perfect fit wheel for the front of this car with a 235 spec tire. And an 18x9 et52 with a 265 spec tire for the rear. That there is the best spec for a linear, smooth fitting staggered setup that does NOT look or actually poke outside the fender, will not rub unless really pushed and dropped like crazy and will perform as best as possible. Too bad theres really only like 1 or 2 manufacturers that make a wheel with this fitment, and I think they look like ass If the 701's or 713's came in those sizes, even if it was 18x8 et45 and 18x9 et50, id have bought them months ago.. |

hey guys
thanks for all the advice, i found a guy who has the wheel i want with the perfect offset for front and rear. it will be 19" x 9.5" rear with a 19" x 8" for the front with a 47mm offset with 235 and 255 tires. they arriving in 2 weeks so i'll upload photos as soon as they ready. but i agree with you guys there just so few rims that actually good in the arches. VMR are the only guys doing good work at a reasonable price. but out here in South Africa its even harder to find just the right wheel. |

Im sorry, how exactly do you just take 3mm off your wheels?? You mean they grinded the inside bore of the wheel down that far so they sat farther in or what??
