TSW Bathurst on 135i E82

These wheels look amazing on the 135i they even look as big as 19s because of the ultraconcave design, the offset is pretty agressive but we are doing fender rolling next week, so it should fit good afterwards. BTW the wheels are extremely light and rotary forged.

Let us know how the fender rolling goes and post some pics up afterwards of the fenders please. curious to see if you get away with just a roll or if a pull is needed.

It came out pretty good, no rubbing at all even at max compression.

Can you elaborate? Why was primer required to roll your fenders? Did they have to remove the sealant above the fender lip before doing the roll?

The procedure was to modify the metal sheet of the fender with a frame pulling tool and solder torch, then flatten the sheet and prime it before painting it. The cost was roughly 300 bucks, including pull and painting

Very cool. The other option was the rear brake hub mod but your way comes out looking much cooler if done right.

The wheels look great, I like them, but do you think you can get wider tires on there now after your fender modifications? I don't mean to be a downer but I don't see the reason to put wider wheels on the car if you can't put wider tires. I commend your choice of tires and I understand the situation, that BMW gave us compact car sized wheels on a 300hp vehicle so our choices for wheels are limited. I'm actually jealous, I would love to be able to at least get a 235 up front.

According to Tirerack the recomended wheel width for a 255/35R18 is between 8.5-10" so 9.5" is the sweet spot, the "tread width meassuring" which is the surface in contact with the road in this case is 9.3"

With a 265/35R18 the recomended wheel width is between 9-10.5" being the sweet spot a 10" width wheel, the tread width is 9.7" only 0.4" more in contact with the road and only if you use a 10" wheel, with the same wheel width of 9.5" you should be getting 0.2" more surface contact with the road. Not worth it.

Those RS-3 hankooks look like a good fit on the 9.5" rims. If you have a tire with a firm sidewall, then it may make sense to use a 265.
I think both sizes are good options depending on what you want to use it for.
