Belt + tensioner DIY?

Hey guys,
having trouble finding consistent info on how to replace the belt/tensioner on an N54.

Has anyone done it? Are these the correct instructions? http://www.pelicanparts.com/BMW/tech...placement.htm#

Just did mine last week. I did all pulleys; tension, and both idlers with belt. The first thing you want to do is to draw a diagram of the path of the belt. Fig 1 was incorrect for my 09 135i. I took the radiator fan off (make space for easier removal of belt and backing off of screws that hold the fresh air intake for the front turbo) and belly pan since the lower idler pulley has to come off first and from the bottom. Hope this helps.

Question, what kind of fasteners did the tensioner and idlers have ? (Bolt with socket head, or some kind of torx?). I have a T60 to release the tension to remove the belt. Thanks in advance

IIRC 13mm...Investment in a set of star sockets and torxs is a must if you plan on doing any amount of DIY on this car. Good luck,

Thanks. Ordered the 335 Bentley manual, so going to do it once it gets here. May have some more questions once I take a look at that
