I have about 3 tire pressure gauges and all show different readings. I ordered a $12 digital one off amazon and hope to find out the answer to this mystery. How could there be up to a 10 psi difference in readings? Is the stem not sealing properly on all of them?

Do you hear air leaking when you're taking the readings.

Cheap air gauges are cheap. Easy enough.

Especially digital gauges, you're talking accuracy only to 0.5 PSI, so there is error already involved.

However, one air gauge compared to another will most likely never match. Air pressure gauges are relative to yourself. Aka 33 PSI to you could mean something completely different than 33 PSI on another car with another user.

Find a gauge you like and stick to it

PS - I use this gauge. It is a fantastic gauge for the price:

I picked this one up on amazon and it had almost a 5 star rating based on 600 reviews...

I prefer large analog dials to digital. I have a few smaller Auto Meter 2343 gauges for gloveboxes and a larger Joe's Racing gauge for when I race and want very precise control. Both designs have a hold feature and release button.

A quality, large dial will give you really precise and consistent readings. I've tried digital but they all seem to be overpriced junk.

An analog gauge can't give you readings to tenths like a digital gauge... And the Accutire digital gauge is only about $13 at Amazon.
